In a Swimwear Mood

In a Swimwear Mood

Posted by Theja Dissanayake on

As some of you know, I used to be a tandem surfer which is two people on a surfboard doing acrobatic tricks, and achieved the goal of reaching number 4 in the world for this sport. Through this journey I was inspired by the Aloha spirit as this is a traditional Hawaiian sport. This was inspiration for the journey of Escape to Paradise.

This spirit has translated into inspiration for our homewares collection, when designing prints and combinations of colours. Being able to diversify into different product areas was always a dream and we are so proud the Escape to Paradise brand has been able to offer collections in Homewares, Decor, Swimwear and soon we will look to launch a new activewear range.

As a brand that embraces the Aloha spirit, our Swimwear collection has been able to translate this by introducing new colour palettes, prints and designs that suit a swim collection.

Our seasonal designs are inspired by the tropics, a beautiful and luxurious range of bikinis and one piece designs. We wanted to show you some of our mood boards and inspiration that we reference for colour and design and keep us aligned in the seasonal design process. Some of our designs for our swimwear collection have a more intricate design feel in order to create an ornate repeat pattern across the piece creating a eye catching swimwear design.

Tropical prints to keep the Hawaiian feeling features natural inspired foliage including palm trees, floral elements like hibiscus, the fauna of our world such as toucans and also tropical fruits like pineapple, and papaya.

Floral prints can feature as a timeless classic with the inclusion of palm tree fronds and foliage bringing the essence of tropical prints. Some of our designs for our swimwear collection have a more ornate design feel in order to create a smaller pattern across the piece, which can be more flattering on the figure.

The use of bright tropical colours are also aesthetically pleasing to the eye with brighter shades highlighting the skins summer glow. Using warm skin tones can enhance the summer feel as they are warmer hues against your summer tan glow. Cooler shades of blue are also very flattering on a figure, creating an ocean inspired aesthetic and can also suit many skin tones.

We hope you enjoy seeing our new collections come to life, as we have been so excited to design this seasons swim collection.

Enjoy x
