Setting a Beautiful Table

Setting a Beautiful Table

Posted by Sacha Alagich on

A decorated table can help to create an ideal setting. Here are a few key tips to help set a beautiful table, perfect for breakfast or lunch, winter or summer. Pick your theme, and your look and have some fun designing your table...

 Pick a Colour Theme

When setting a table picking a colour theme, helps to design an overall look. Whether it be tropical green palm trees, classic natural stripes or a solid colour base in clay, black or sage. Matching pieces on the table, for example, glassware, plates, placemats, napkins, cutlery will help to tie the whole look together, or use some lovely contrasting colours to help highlight those special pieces.

Green leaves with mint tones or a bowl of cherries with your pink hues, or mix and match

 Add Texture and Colour

Using fabric pieces, such as napkins or placemats help to soften things up. A fringed edge on a placemat helps to add texture and movement to your table. And using print or design will help to lift and create interest on a simple table

 Pick Your Look

Stripes will create a classic look, so add classic flair and style with stripes. Maybe you are looking for a more tropical tone, so then the only way to go is palm trees

 Focus Points

Create a focus point with a bowl of succulents or a bowl of lemons. Big leaves also work to create a bold highlight colour or textured movement, using monstera leaves or native plants.
