TRAVEL | Lord Howe Island

A stunning crescent shaped island that is a volcanic paradise. A true remote escape.

Lord Howe is a UNESCO World Heritage Listed Island. It is a protected area and only allows 400 visitors at one time to visit the island. It has a fragile ecosystem, that needs to be protected and limiting the number of visitors has helped to protect the island.

Sitting on the New South Wales coastline it is an island surrounded by the southern most coral reefs, crystal clear waters and lush green mountains. With white sand beaches adorning the island making it a dreamy island paradise.

The island measures 11 km in length and approximately 2.8 kilometres. The ideal way to visit the island is on foot or by leisurely bicycle rides, as there is a low number of cars.

There are a number of attractions on the island, including Ned's Beach which is known for shimmering clear waters where there is opportunity to hand feed the schools of fish in the sea. Also Mount Gower which is the islands highest volcanic peak, holding extravagant views across the oceans.

Such a special place to enjoy and preserve
