Tropical Super Fruits

Posted by Theja Dissanayake on

We love being on summer holidays and enjoying the beautiful tropical fruits that may be on offer. They can provide huge benefits in terms of high nutritional benefits. So when looking to improve your intake of super nutrients and antioxidants or just enjoying the beautiful taste, some tropical fruits can satisfy both.

Here are some of our favourites...

Strawberries are particularly high in antioxidants like Vitamin C. Research suggests eating strawberries may help to reduce heart disease risk, lower inflammatory markers, and increase fibre intake, which may protect against chronic health conditions like heart disease and certain cancers.

Blueberries are an impressive fruit, packed full of flavour and nutrients. Eating just a handful of blueberries a day can help to reduce the risks of heart disease and type 2 diabetes.

Mangoes are a popular tropical fruit full of antioxidants. They are also full of fibre which assists bowel movements

Papayas are packed with tropical flavour and are rich in Vitamin C, Provitamin A and many antioxidants, They are especially rich in lycopene which may protect against heart disease and certain cancers

We love that summer is here!!

Enjoy xx
