Decorating tips for Coastal Interiors

Decorating tips for Coastal Interiors

Posted by Sacha Alagich on

We love the idea of bringing the outdoors into our coastal home, whether it be with a simple plant or opening fold doors. Bringing the outdoor elements to within the home, can create a truely coastal feel when decorating an interior.

Adding details include filling a home with botanical prints and natural elements. For example, a wicker chair or a wall feature in a natural tone. This may include handmade homewares such as a macrame wall hanging or the addition of a swaying hammock, coastal living can be enhanced with natural woven additions.

Coastal is about keeping it simple, letting your tropical prints speak for themselves, palms, botanicals and leaves work so well in a simple environment.

Making sure you home has plenty of white or natural light. Keeping a space light and bright helps bring the outdoor feeling into your home. Space holding vast natural light are important to give that outdoor coastal feel.

This can be further enhanced with splashes of nature. An added pot plant or trailing ivy helps create texture, depth and movement. These natural elements can make a room come alive.
