Healthy Breakfast Smoothies

Smoothie benefits expand across multiple factors from improving fibre content, increasing our fruit and vegetable consumption, and higher intake of all the nourishing nutrients that are so good for our bodies.
Along with nutrient benefits, smoothies are tasty and delicious that can be catered to your own choice of ingredients to suit the taste you may be craving. Utilising fruits, vegetables, also nuts, seeds and yoghurt allow for the creation for a delicious smoothie.
When choosing whole fruits, vegetables, nuts and seeds, these foods contain good levels of fibre. This along with other nutrients help to nourish the body and aids ingestion of healthy nutrients promoting healthy digestion and gut health, also managing blood sugar levels and assisting various bodily functions.
Providing essential vitamins, minerals and antioxidants which help to support the overall health of our bodies, promoting healthy skin, providing the nutrients we need to grow and support our body and mind that we take so much care to nurture.
Along with the health benefits of the range of smoothies that can be created with such variety and ease. A great way to consume a nutrient dense filled smoothie, especially people who are always on the go and also want to enjoy a healthy lifestyle along the way.
Here are some ideas of breakfast smoothie recipes that cater for varying tastes and also are jam packed with those essential nutrients to help us thrive

Ingredients:
Freeze into each container:
  • ½ banana
Strawberry Goji:
  • big handful of strawberries, sliced
  • ¼ cup dried goji berries
Peach:
  • 1 peach, sliced
  • handful of raspberries
  • ½ tablespoon almond butter
Mango Maca:
  • slices from ½ of a large mango
  • 1 peach, sliced
  • 1 teaspoon maca powder
Spinach & Mango
  • slices from ½ of a large mango
  • handful of fresh spinach
  • 1-2 teaspoons matcha
Cherry Blueberry Cacao:
  • ⅓ cup tart cherries
  • ⅓ cup blueberries
  • ½ - 1 tablespoon raw cacao powder
Blend each smoothie with:
  • ½ - ¾ cup Almond Milk
  • a few pieces of ice
Instructions
  1. Assemble ½ banana into each freezer container (or freezer safe baggie). Add fruits/vegetables, then place your containers into the freezer until you're ready to blend each one.
  2. Blend each smoothie with a few pieces of ice and ½ cup to ¾ cup almond milk (enough almond milk to get your blender blade moving).
  3. Blend in "extras" (goji berries, almond butter, maca, matcha, cacao) at the end.
