We love finding remote island paradise and Sumba in Indonesia is one island we adore.
Sumba is a raw and untouched Indonesian island in east Nusa Tenggara, known as the "Land of the Thousand Horses". The land has a certain wildness...

The land is filled with raw landscapes, dramatic savannahs and pristine beaches. Displaying indigenous Indonesian life which holds old traditions and cultures that are nurtured in the land.
Sumba is little known though is twice the size of Bali with only a small fraction of the tourists that visit. it is filled with luxury resorts and also traditional bare huts in remote villages.

There are some notable attractions on Sumba including the Weekuri Lagoon, a crystal clear saltwater lagoon, that connects with the ocean divided by a rocky reef.
Waterfalls adorn the land, Lapopu and Waimarang wateralls are secluded and tucked away in Sumba's lush, untouched jungles.
The land is also scattered with ancient hilltop villages featuring thatched cone roof huts, whilst the sea is home to some of the world's greatest surf breaks.
